Where to Find the Royal Titans

To reach the boss room, players can enter the Asgarnia Ice Dungeon and run north past the pirates and muggers, then west. If you have 60 Agility, you can use a shortcut directly west of the entrance for faster access.

Other travel options include:

Giantsoul Amulet: Teleports you directly outside the boss room.
Fairy Ring (Code: AIQ): Located south of the dungeon entrance.

OSRS Prayer Guide: Prayer is a non-members combat skill and is trained by the burial of bones, using them on an altar in a POH (Player owned house), using them on altars like the one in Chaos Temple, by praying at the ectofuntus with the help of bonemeal and buckets of slime, or by killing reanimated monsters summoned through the Arceuus spell book. There are a variety of bones and different bones give out different amounts of experience.

As the level of the skill goes up, prayers are unlocked which are used to help the player during combat. These prayers help with other combat skills like Attack, Defence, Strength, Ranged, Magic and Hitpoints. Players have prayer points which drains when the prayers are activated, until the prayer is turned off or until it’s all used up. Prayer Armour

To start off the OSRS prayer guide, I’ve decided to add the prayer armour section first as it an effective section to highlight.

Prayer armour is used when a player wishes to slow the rate at which prayer points drain when praying. There are a few items, unlike the three main general categories of armour that can be considered uniquely prayer-related. Items like shields, magic robes and types of metal armour can also be considered as a prayer armour.

Robes

Druid robes give a slightly higher bonus compared to priest gowns and zamorak robes. Whereas, monk’s robes give the highest prayer bonus in F2P (Free-to-play) and are very popular when player killing. The wearer may find themselves often coming under attack from different attack styles in a multi-combat area and, being able to use only one protection prayer at a time, this basically ensures a swift death.

God Books

These books are often used when using prayer and are obtained by the completion of a quest called ‘Horror from the deep’. After the quest, the books have to be completed by adding god pages to it, which are then obtained from an activity of solving clue scroll known as ‘Treasure trails’ or can be obtained by trading other in-game players. The incomplete book gives up to +5 prayer bonus, while the completed ones give out defensive and offensive bonuses too.

Temple Knight Armour

Temple knight armours like initiate and proselyte armour also provides prayer bonus and can be earned by completing the ‘Recruitment Drive’ and ‘Slug Menace’ quests. Initiate and proselyte armour has the same stats as mithril and adamant armour but with addition to prayer bonus, with proselyte armour having even larger prayer bonus. The proselyte hauberk and cuisse/tasset give out the highest prayer bonus.

Vestment Robes

Vestment robe sets are made up of six pieces with Mitres giving the highest prayer bonus for any headgear and Stoles giving the second highest prayer bonus of any amulet. These robes can be obtained from ‘Treasure trails’ or by trading with another player. The top and legs give a prayer bonus equivalent to monk’s robes, but also have a small magic bonus and croziers have equivalent stats to a battle staff, but with an additional prayer bonus. Verac’s Armour

The highest level melee armour in-game that gives a prayer bonus and has the same bonus as initiate armour, except for Verac’s plateskirt which gives slightly less, However, it’s defensive bonus is significantly higher. When the whole set is worn, players have a chance of hitting through protection prayer thanks to its special attack called Defiler. The set is quite popular when fighting the boos ‘kalphite queen’ and in PvP (Player versus player) because of its effect coupled with prayer bonus. The armour can be obtained from the ‘barrows’ minigame or by trading other player and has to be repaired after 15 hours of combat. It can be coupled with an amulet of damned to offer the best prayer bonuses in game and surpassing even proselyte armour.

OSRS Prayer Guide F2P (Free-To-Play)

Prayer is a very difficult skill if it’s to be trained in free-to-play as the expenses for this skill are very high and involves a lot of clicking to train it. So, this F2p OSRS prayer guide will show you ways that may help you ease up during your journey.

To start off, it’s always better to complete quests that give out experience for the desired skill you wish to train. For prayer, you can start off by completing ‘The Restless Ghost’ which will provide you with 1,125 prayer experience and will raise your level from 1 to 9 up on completion. There are no real requirements to begin this quest (Although a defensive armour for the skeletons would be good) and is strongly recommended for beginning F2p players to complete as it provides a fairly decent prayer experience.

After that, there are other ways to gain prayer like the bone yard. The bone yard is located in the wilderness, directly north of varrock and has many bones that spawns with no killing required. Regular and big bones, both are spawned here with big bones being very few. Regular bones have a good spawn rate and are many in number lying on the ground. However, it is required to take a few items with you when you go there.

Food

For the level 20-25 skeletons in the area, who will attack you. Be sure to bring enough food because even if you do not wish to fight them, food will help you last longer in the area to train your prayer.

Armour

The fact that it is the wilderness and there are skeletons in the area, so the armour will be a good defence. However, wear an armour you won’t mind losing.

Weapon

You can also choose to fight those skeletons, in order to gain combat experience. If you do so, a weapon will come in handy.

You can also use other ways like,

Collecting all the bones till your inventory is full and then running off to bury them.

You can also go to areas that have low level monsters and are often being killed by players. Players mostly don’t pick up the bones which lie on the around, so you can have an endless supply of them in areas like lumbridge swamp, chicken pens, cow fields, goblins (near the al-kharid gate).

Another method of training prayer real fast, but really expensive is power burying.

It has the best experience rate for prayer in F2p and is achieved by buying a number of bones from the grand exchange and burying them.

Preserve Prayer

This section is mentioned on the OSRS prayer guide because preserve prayer is a very important requirement for every player in runescape. Now, continue to read and you will know why.

A forgotten prayer that requires a level of 55 to activate. Players must read the ‘torn prayer scroll’  in order to unlock this spell, which can be obtained as a reward from the ‘chambers of xeric’ or can be bought from other players. This prayer must be activated for 15 seconds before hand in order to take effect. After this time, if a player’s boosted stat would drain, the boost will just be extended by another 30 seconds. This prayer allows boosted stats to last 50% longer because boosted stats normally drain 1 point per minute. This decreases the consumption of stat boosting foods and potions, which can be very effective when you have less inventory space and the player mostly has food, such as difficult bosses like Fight Caves/Inferno. It lowers the prayer point drain rate to 3 points per minute.

Though the boost from the Imbued Heart is re-applicable every seven minutes, Preserve will, in fact, work on its magic level boosting capabilities. Because of this interaction, a player is able to reuse the Imbued Heart when their magic level drops five levels below its potted maximum as opposed to seven levels below potted maximum without preserve. Divine Magic and Divine Battlemage potions will only keep the magic level of the user steady at +4 maximum, whereas above 90 magic, the Imbued Heart and preserve will allow for a minimum of boost of +5 rendering the divine potions obsolete in terms of magic boosting capability.

Ironman OSRS Prayer Guide

This section has been added on the OSRS prayer guide, as it is the most difficult account types in all over RuneScape!

As we know, training prayer is a challenging skill to train for ultimate ironman players, due to inventory space restrictions and their inability to use of the faster training methods. However, there are quite a number of ways to train the skill.

Some early quests that provide decent prayer experience and can be used as a jump start for an ironman account. If you want to skip the questing grind and jump straight into the action, check out our OSRS Questing services.

• Rag and Bone Man – No requirements, 500 prayer experience

• Recruitment Drive – Requires 12 quest points, 1,000 prayer experience

• The Restless Ghost – No requirements, 1,125 prayer experience

• Priest in Peril – Requires the completion of ‘The restless ghost’, 1,406 prayer experience

• Mountain Daughter – Requires 20 agility, 2,000 prayer experience

• Ghosts Ahoy – Requires 25 agility and 20 cooking, 2,400 prayer experience

The easiest early training method would be collecting big bones in the Bone yard, and running over to the chaos temple in level 38 wilderness. The altar within the chaos temple gives 3.5x experience on any bone used on it, and gives 50% chance that the bone will not be consumed in the process.

Another early training method are blue dragons at Taverley dungeon, you can safe spot them with magic and then offer the bones over at the Ectofuntus This is to be considered one of the fastest prayer training methods for low-level prayer.

Even though red dragons have a higher combat level than blue dragons, Forthos dungeon makes it a solid option for training prayer. Because once you’ve unlocked the sacred bone burner in the dungeon, it will allow you to offer bones at it for 3x prayer experience per bone. Depending on your combat level and gear, this method can give you up to 20,000 prayer experienced per hour.

With the completion of ‘Dragon slayer 2′, one of the fastest methods of training prayer in unlocked in the myths’ guild section of the corsair cove dungeon. You can use the mythical cape and teleport to house spell to teleport between the green dragons in the guild’s dungeon and a gilded altar in your player-owned house.

Participating in the pest control minigame and spending the point on prayer experience is also a good method, although it is relatively slow but fairly low-effort training method. Ensouled heads from slayer

Using ensouled heads to reanimate them at the dark altar is an excelled way to gain prayer experience.

Fossil island fossils

Activities done on fossil island rewards you with fossil island fossils, which can be used with mycelium pool on the island to create enriched bones and can be exchanged for prayer experience.

Bone crusher

It can be used in combat to automatically bury any bones that monsters drop and can be obtained by the completion of the hard tasks in the Morytania diary.

Best Ways to Train Prayer

This section of the OSRS prayer guide will show you the most effective and best way possible to train your prayer for both F2P and P2P players, Read along.

As a Free to Play Player, you do not really have access to any good Prayer training methods at all. The only way to train Prayer is by burying Bones or Big Bones. If you were to just sit there and bury regular bones from level 1 – 99, it would take over 1000 hours and would cost you over 200 000 000. Big bones would take about 300 – 400 hours to bury to level 99.

However, as a member you have access to 3 different prayer training methods.

• Gilded Altar – Using bones on a gilded altar with 2 burners lit, gives you 3.5x the prayer experience that you would receive instead of burying the bones. You can either build a gilded altar at your player-owned house with  construction level 75 or switch to world 330 where you can use another players house to train your prayer. The best place to train is at Rimmington, where you’ll need to bring noted bones and coins, find a house and then use approximately 1000 bones on a gilded altar. You can also use a bone runner, he will trade you 26 un-noted dragon bones for 27 noted dragon bones.

• Ectofuntus – The ectofuntus actually gives more experience than the gilded altar per bone, which is 4 times the experience of burying the bones instead of 3.5. But the experience rates are nowhere near good as a gilded altar. To use the ectofuntus, you’ll need a ghost speak amulet from the quest ‘The restless ghost’ and it is highly recommended to do the quest ‘Ghost’s ahoy’ for the ectophial , which can help you teleport to ectofuntus unlimited times.
  
• Ensouled Heads – In order to reanimate ensouled head, you’ll need to have at least a magic level of 3. You will also need 60% of arceuus house favour in the zeah area, which will give you access to the Arceuus spell book. You will also need to have a decent combat level in order to obtain these heads by killing reanimated monsters. To cast this spell, you’ll need runes, a dramen or lunar staff to use fair rings and you will also need to have started fairy tale 2 to be able to do this really effectively. It is recommended to have a rune pouch to hold your runes and a decent combat gear and food supply if you’re level is low.

Old School Runescape Prayer Training

Note: This section of the prayer guide is for members-only.

Starting off, it is recommended that you’ve completed the quests that give out prayer experience upon completion. Quests like the restless ghost, priest in peril, recruit drive and holy grail will all together grant you a total of 14,531 prayer experience which will help you gain level 30 prayer without any prayer training.

You can then start off offering bones at a gilded altar with two incense burners lit in a player- owned house. The most popular options are dragon or wyvern bones as they both give the exact same experience. The fastest way to do this is in a PvP world, as you can use a bank chest near Camelot castle which is closes bank chest to a teleport and is within a safe area so no player killers can attack you. This method can grant you up to 650,000 experience per hour with regular dragon bones. Rates can also be increased up to 780,000 experience by running bones and lighting burners on an alternative account.

Another way is to offer bones at the chaos altar which is a multi-combat area and is located in level 38 wilderness, this process will grant you the same experience as gilded altar with two burners lit, but also gives a 50% chance for the bone not to be consumed, effectively doubling the amount of experience received per bone. The best way to get there is to use ghorrock teleport and run south by teleport directly there on ancient magicks, using the respective house portal or breaking the teleportation tablet. Experience rates here varies a lot depending on the bone used and the amount of player killers. It is recommended to use the bones one-by-one on the altar to increase both the experience rate as well as leave less time for players to kill you. You can receive around 500,00 experience per hour using dragon / wyvern bones. The altar can also be used to recharge Prayer points, players can keep Protect from Magic and Augury prayers up while offering bones and pray at the altar when needed. You can gain up to 1m prayer xp per hour if you use your bones on the altar manually. Be sure to use menu entry swap in your preferred OSRS client to avoid burying bones on accident.

After you’ve gained a certain prayer level, you can start reanimating ensouled heads by having 60% arceuus house favour to access the spell book needed to reanimate the heads. The method offers a slower but cheaper alternative to offering dragon / wyvern bones at a gilded altar. Depending on the players combat level, gear and the type of head used, the player can expect to reanimate around 160-220 ensouled heads per hour. Players can quickly travel to the Dark Altar via nearby fairy ring (c*i*s), which can be accessed via the quest point cape’s teleport to Legends’ Guild, or teleporting to Salve Graveyard and running north-east to the fairy ring. Having a rune pouch is recommended since it saves inventory space, allowing you to  reanimate more heads per trip. Currently, training with ensouled bloodveld heads  can give roughly 145,000-180,000 experience per hour depending on your combat level. In addition, this method can give up to 30,000 Magic and combat experience per hour. The highest-tiered head is dragon, at level 93 magic and are not very difficult for medium-to-higher level players to defeat as every reanimated creature has a fixed amount of health, between 5 and 35. It is recommended to bring anti-poison when fighting reanimated kalphites or dragonfire protection when fighting  reanimated dragons. Reanimated monsters like aviansies cannot be fought by using melee and reanimated abyssal require 85 slayer  to damage same as the original ones.

Quest XP Rewards

Useful Items for Cooking

There are a few items that make cooking more efficient:

• Cooking Gauntlets: These reduce the burn rate of fish like lobsters, swordfish, monkfish, sharks, and anglerfish, helping you maximize XP and profits.
  
• Chef’s Hat: This is required to enter the Cooking Guild at level 32 Cooking, where you’ll have access to a bank and range close to each other.

Ensure you have protection against desert heat: the Desert amulet 4 provides immunity, or you can use the Hitpoints cape and regen bracelet to outheal the damage. Alternatively, bring waterskins and refill them with Humidify.

When mining granite, drop the pieces between actions. Start the 3-tick mining action, click on the next rock, drop the granite quickly, and click the rock again. This method is very click-intensive but significantly increases efficiency.

Mining in the Motherlode Mine requires Level 30 Mining but is recommended from level 55 for better efficiency. It offers low-effort training and decent profit, especially compared to Amethyst mining. Completing medium Falador Diary tasks grants a shortcut (54 Agility required), and the Elite Diary increases higher-level ore chances.

Cleaning pay-dirt yields golden nuggets for the Prospector outfit, which gives a 2.5% XP boost. The outfit is needed for hard Falador Diary tasks. At level 72 Mining and with 100 nuggets, unlock the upper levels for better ore veins.

The first, is the fairy ring teleport system. With the fair ring teleport system, you can have access to almost every slayer monster in the map instantly. As slayer monsters are scattered across the whole world, this makes it much easier to navigate to your slayer task. To gain access to the fairy ring teleport system, you’ll need to use the specific fairy rings with either a Lunar or Dramen staff, after starting the Fairy-tale II quest. Keep in mind, if you’ve completed the Lumbridge & Draynor Village achievement diary sets, you won’t need the staff.

Next, is lunar magic. The lunar magic spell book has an extremely beneficial spell – NPC contact. This spell allows you to communicate to your slayer master wherever you are. The slayer ring, especially at higher slayer levels, is extremely beneficial, as you can use it to teleport to a vast variety of slayer locations, such as the slayer tower, and the stronghold slayer cave. You can purchase a ring from a slayer master for 75 slayer points, or you could craft it yourself by unlocking the ability to craft it (we’ll speak about the unlocks later) for 300 points.

Next, the Karamja gloves 3 allows you to teleport to Shilo Village. You may be asking, why do you need to go to Shilo Village? Well, as you’ll find out shortly, Shilo Village is the home of one of the high-level slayer masters – Duradel. Also, if you’ve got Karamja gloves 4, you can teleport directly to Duradel. To get these Karamja gloves 3, you’ll need to complete the hard Karamja diaries, and to get the fourth-tier version, you’ll need to complete the Karamja elite diaries.

The Xeric’s Talisman is a very useful item that allows you to teleport to various locations in the Great Kourend. Although being useful for plenty of other skills and activities, the talisman is useful for slayer as you can teleport to near the Catacombs of Kourend, where you’ll be spending a lot of time. To get the talisman, you’ll need to kill lizardmen, brutes or shamans. Alternatively, you could steal from the stone chests in the Lizardmen Temple.

The slayer helmet is going to be your best friend during your Slayer journey. The main reason for this is that it provides a 15% attack and strength boost against slayer tasks. Additionally, it combines the effects of its parts, which are: the spiny helmet, facemask, earmuffs, nose peg and black mask. If you imbue it at the Nightmare Zone, it will also provide ranged and magic bonuses. To make it, you’ll need to spend 400 slayer points on the unlockable ability.

Until you have a slayer helmet, you should heavily consider using a black mask. The black mask provides a 15% attack and strength boost against monsters on a slayer tasks, and requires 10 defence, 20 strength and 40 combat to wield. If you imbue it at the Nightmare Zone, it also provides ranged and magic bonuses. You can either buy the black mask off the Grand Exchange or be lucky enough to receive it as a drop from Cave Horrors.

The enchanted gem is a must have for slayer. Sold by all slayer masters for 1 GP, the gem allows you to contact your slayer master at any time, to ask them about your current assigned task, as well as tips for it.

There’s also a bunch of miscellaneous items you’ll need to effectively slay and protect yourself against certain monsters. At level 10, the facemask protects you from the Dust Devil attacks. At level 15, the earmuffs protect you from Banshees. At level 25, the mirror shield protects you against Basilisks and Cockatrice. At level 33, the unlit bug lantern allows you to attack Harpie Bug Swarms. At level 35, the spiny helmet protects you from Wall Beasts. At level 37, the insulated boots protect you from Killerwatts. At level 57, the Fungicide spray allows you to finish off Mutated Zygomites. At level 60, the nose peg protects you from Aberrant spectres. At level 75, the rock hammer and rock thrown hammer allows you to finish off Gargoyles.

Recommended Quests to be Completed

Slayer requires you to travel the whole world to find specific monsters to defeat. As a result, you’ll need to have quite a few quests under your belt in order to access the various parts of the map, to find the most challenging monsters. Here’s a list of quests we recommend you complete before jumping into slayer, as they’ll be very beneficial in your journey.

• Horror from the Deep, to unlock Dagonnoths.

• Lunar Diplomacy, to unlock Suqahs.

• Priest in Peril, to unlock Morytania (the home of the Slayer Tower).

• Barbarian Training, to unlock Mithril Dragons and Waterfiends.

• Mourning’s End Part II, to unlock Dark Beasts.

• Desert Treasure, to unlock Dust Devils.

• Monkey Madness II, to unlock demonic gorillas.

• Bone Voyage, to unlock Fossil Island Wyverns.

• Dragon Slayer II, to unlock Adamant Dragons and Rune Dragons.

• Death Plateau, to unlock spiritual creatures.

Slayer Masters

In your Slayer journey, you’ll be visiting the majority of the slayer masters around the world. However, at the later levels, you’ll mainly be getting tasks from Duradel or Nieve (also known as Steve). So, let’s meet them all!

Turael

First up is Turael, who can be found in Southeast Burthorpe. He is the first slayer master, and therefore has no requirements to get tasks from him. To get to him, you could use either a games necklace teleport or travel via hot air balloon. His tasks are very easy, but you shouldn’t spend extra time with his tasks. An interesting fact about Turael is that he is able to replace your current assignment from another slayer master with his own easier tasks. So, if you ever find yourself stuck, and you can’t skip any tasks, head to Turael!

 

Krystilia

Next, is Krystilia, found in Edgeville. You don’t need any requirements to receive tasks from her, except that you should have 1 task from any other slayer master under your belt. To get to Krystilia, you can use an amulet of glory. All of her assignments are found in the Wilderness, and therefore you can earn extra rewards when slaying the assigned monsters. Keep in mind that Wilderness slayer tasks have a different counter from standard tasks.

 

Mazchna

After that is Mazchna, found in Canifis. To receive tasks from him, you’ll need to complete Priest in Peril and have 20 combat. To get to him, you should either use an ectophial or fairy ring (cks). Just like Turael, his tasks are also quite easy.

 

Vannaka

Next up is Vannaka, found in Edgeville dungeon. You’ll need to have a combat level of 40 to receive his assignments. To get to him, simply use an amulet of glory to head to Edgeville, then head down to the Edgeville dungeon to find him. He is one of the more popular slayer masters, as his tasks are designed for those in the medium to high level players.

 

Chaeldar

After Vannaka is Chaeldar, found in the Zanaris Fairy Queen’s court. You’ll need a combat level of 70, as well as the completion of Lost City to utilize her assignments. To get to her, simply use a fairy ring teleport to get to Zanaris, the fairy ring hub. Keep in mind however, she can hand out dangerous tasks such as Bronze Dragons.

 

Konar Quo Maten

Next is Konar Quo Maten, found in Mount Karuulm. You’ll need a slightly higher combat level to receive assignments from her, requiring 75 combat. To get to her, use the fairy ring teleport (cir) and head north. The special thing about her slayer tasks is that there is a chance of receiving Brimstone Keys, which can allow you to open the Brimstone Chest, which can contain various valuable goodies.

 

Nieve

One of the final slayer masters is Nieve, located in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. You’ll have to have a combat level of at least 85 to receive tasks from her. To get to her, use a spirit tree teleport to the Tree Gnome Village, and head to the Tree Gnome Stronghold, where you’ll find her. However, if you’ve completed Monkey Madness II, Nieve will be seen to be replaced by Steve, her cousin.

 

Duradel

The final and most challenging slayer master is Duradel, located in Shilo Village, and requiring 100 combat, as well as 50 Slayer to receive tasks from. To get to him, simply use a fairy ring teleport (ckr) and head to the top floor of the fishing store or use the Karamja Gloves 3 (or 4) teleport. His tasks are usually very hard, so make sure you’re all prepared before consulting him!

Slayer levelling Guide

As you may know, Slayer is a skill that involves you visiting specific slayer masters, who assign you tasks to kill a specific amount of a certain monsters. The monsters you’re assigned is based upon both your own combat level, and the general difficulty of the slayer master you speak to. After every successful kill of the assigned monster, you receive Slayer experience, roughly equal to the monster’s hit points.

So, to receive a Slayer task, you’ll just need to head to a Slayer master. If you don’t know which Slayer master to go to, simply scroll up to find a list of them. Once assigned a task from the Slayer master, you may need Slayer-specific equipment, in which when asking the respective Slayer master for tips, those equipment pieces will be revealed. For example you’ll need a face mask for killing Dust Devils.

If levelling Slayer gets boring, you can also partake in group Slayer, in which you partner up with another player and work your way through the same slayer task. You can achieve this by right clicking and selecting the ‘partner’ option on either an enchanted gem, slayer ring or slayer helmet.

Technically, there are no requirements to start Slayer training. However, we highly recommend getting your combat stats up a little, to make the Slayer progression a lot easier. In other words, the higher your combat, the faster your Slayer experience rates will be.

Recommended Equipment

The equipment you bring to your Slayer tasks are extremely important, as it can heavily influence your experience rates. You should always be aiming to bring the best in slot equipment to slayer to maximize experience rates. If you’re unaware of what equipment to bring to Slayer training, we’ll quickly run through the setups you should go with!

Melee

If you choose to bring melee along to Slayer training, you should opt for a max DPS setup. If you don’t know what that looks like – don’t worry! We’ll run you through the gear setup. On the very left, you’ll see the gear at which we recommend the most. Slayer Points

As you continue grinding through your Slayer tasks, you’ll start to accumulate Slayer points. If you’re unfamiliar with them, Slayer points can allow you to cancel tasks, permanently block tasks, and unlock useful rewards that we’ve mentioned before.

We recommend that while you collect Slayer points, you spend them in this optimal order: Blocking tasks, Superior Slayer monsters, Slayer helmet, Extensions, and other unlocks.
Let’s go through each of them!

Cancelling and blocking tasks

As Slayer features a wide variety of monsters to kill, there’s bound to be a few that are undesirable. Luckily, you can either skip them when you’re assigned them, or you can even permanently make it, so you’re not assigned them.

• Cancelling a task costs 30 reward points,
• Blocking a task costs 100 reward points,
• You can have up to 6 tasks blocked simultaneously.

Why should you block tasks?

As Slayer is all about efficient training, it is imperative that you spend more doing good tasks that generate good experience and income. Additionally, you shouldn’t bother blocking tasks for lower level Slayer monsters, and only consider blocking tasks for the final Slayer masters (Nieve/Steve and Duradel).

To adopt a strategy to effectively block tasks, you should follow this reasoning:
• First, sort the slayer tasks you are eligible to receive from fastest to slowest Slayer experience.
• Focusing on the slower tasks, look at the amount of time that it takes.
• The tasks which have the slowest experience rates,
• Longest time to complete should be blocked first.

Unlocking the ‘Bigger and Badder‘ perk for a cost of 150 slayer points allows you the ability to encounter superior variants of monsters at a rate of 1 in 200. These superior monsters are much more difficult to defeat than their inferior variants yet provide a large amount of slayer experience when killing it, along with the chance of dropping valuable items such as:
• An eternal gem,
• Imbued heart.

We recommend you unlock this perk to maximize your experience and gold gains while slaying.

Extending slayer tasks

Sometimes, you may want to extend slayer tasks. For example, if you receive a task with great experience rates and great monetary gain, such as Abyssal Demons, you may want to use your slayer points to extend the task and be assigned much more monsters to kill. However, in an optimal strategy to maximize slayer experience, you should only extend premium tasks such as Nechryaels and Dust Devils.

Unlocking new tasks

To unlock new tasks, you’ll need to pay with your Slayer points. Once you’ve paid, you can start receiving them as an assignment. The unlockable tasks are:
• ‘Seeing Red,’ allowing you to receive a Red Dragons task.
• The ‘I hope you mith me‘ unlock allows you to receive Mithril Dragons as a task.
• The ‘Watch the birdie,’ unlock allows you to receive Aviansies as a task.
• The ‘Hot Stuff‘ unlock allows you to slay TzHaar’s such as Jad, or Zuk if you’ve already completed the inferno.
• The ‘Reptile got ripped‘ allows you to slay Lizardmen on task.
• The ‘Like a boss‘ task allows you to slay all normal bosses in OSRS.

If you’re trying to optimally train slayer for maximum experience rates, you shouldn’t be unlocking new Slayer tasks.

Killing perks

The only killing perk we recommend you unlock the Gargoyle smasher. As you’ll receive Gargoyle tasks quite frequently at higher level Slayer, you’ll save a lot of time with the Gargoyle smasher perk.

Train Construction with Slayer

As mentioned in our Construction guide, you can gain a lot of free Construction XP while training slayer. Simply collect long bones and curved bones that you receive from during your slayer tasks and turn them in for free Construction XP.

Money Making with Slayer

The great part of Slayer is that you can make a whole lot of gold! Let’s go through a few.

First, once you hit level 65 Slayer, you can kill Dust Devils. Located in both the Smoke Dungeon and Catacombs of Kourend, they require a facemask in order for you not to disorient your stats. As aforementioned, a slayer mask already has a facemask on it. They can drop a wide variety of runes, herbs, gems and more, which leads to some really nice profit. Furthermore, they are great experience! We recommend you use bursting or barraging to target multiple at a time.

Next, when you’re at level 72 Slayer, you’re able to slay Skeletal Wyverns. These Skeletal Wyverns can make you a bunch of money, in a very AFK manner. To kill them, you’ll need either an elemental shield, mind shield, dragon fire shield, dragon fire ward or ancient wyvern shield, in order to protect yourself from their icy breath. They drop wyvern bones, battle staves, rune equipment, runes, herbs, prayer potions, and the valuable draconic visage.

Moving on, you can start slaying Brutal Black Dragons at level 77 Slayer. These brutal black dragons, although being difficult to kill, drops dragon bones, black dragonhide, dragon equipment, rune equipment, runes, and the draconic visage. We recommend you bring range along, and preferably with a dragon hunter crossbow.

Levels 30-45: Willow Trees

Willow Trees in Draynor Village Return to Draynor Village and cut Willow Trees near the riverbank. These trees provide improved experience rates and are conveniently located near a bank for efficient log banking.

Willow trees are easy to find and cut. Once you have a Woodcutting level of 30, you can chop them in places like Draynor Village, Barbarian Village, and Tree Gnome Stronghold.

Levels 45-90 or 99: Deadliest Catch & Teak Trees

Teak Trees in Ape Atoll Complete the “Deadliest Catch” quest to gain access to Ape Atoll. Once there, head to the hardwood grove and cut Teak Trees. This method offers faster experience rates than traditional options.

Teak trees are a valuable resource for woodcutters. You can find them in places like the Hardwood Grove on Fossil Island and the Tai Bwo Wannai village. Cutting teak trees gives you good experience, and the logs can be used for building things or sold to make money.

Levels 90-99:
Redwood Trees

-How to get there: From Lumbridge Castle, head east across the bridge and then north along the path. The chicken coop is just north of the river.

-Why Chickens? Chickens are the ideal target for new players. They are found near the Lumbridge farm and provide a safe, low-damage environment to get accustomed to combat mechanics. Plus, they drop feathers, which can be sold for a small profit.

Level 10-20: Goblins

-Location: Around Lumbridge.

-How to get there: Goblins are found just outside the Lumbridge Castle courtyard and around the General Store to the north-west of the castle.

-Why Goblins? Once you’re comfortable with chickens, move on to goblins around Lumbridge. They offer slightly better experience rates and drop coins and various items that can be sold to merchants for additional gold.

Level 20-30: Cows

-Location: Lumbridge cow field

-How to get there (Lumbridge): Head north from Lumbridge Castle and then west across the bridge.

-Why Cows? Cows are an excellent choice for their cowhide drops, which can be sold for a decent profit. The best spots are in Lumbridge and south of Falador. The latter is less crowded, making it easier to farm without competition.

Level 30-45: Al Kharid Guards

-Location: Al Kharid palace.

-How to get there: From Lumbridge, head east across the bridge, then south through the gate to Al Kharid. Pay the toll (10 gp) or use the Lumbridge-to-Al Kharid shortcut if you have 37 agility. The palace is in the center of Al Kharid.

-Why Al Kharid Guards? Al Kharid guards are a step up in difficulty and experience. Found in the Al Kharid palace, they are ideal for players who have gathered enough gear and supplies. The palace’s multicombat area allows for efficient training, as you can engage multiple guards simultaneously.

Members (P2P) Melee Training Methods

Level 1-10: Rock Crabs

-Location: Rellekka.

-How to get there: Use a Camelot teleport and then walk north-west to Rellekka. Alternatively, use the Enchanted Lyre teleport to Rellekka if you have it unlocked.

-Why Rock Crabs? Rock Crabs in Rellekka are a fantastic starting point for members. They have high hitpoints and low defense, making them perfect for early levels. Their high HP ensures you gain more experience per kill.

Level 10-30: Sand Crabs

-Location: Hosidius coast on Zeah.

-How to get there: Use the Xeric’s talisman to teleport to Xeric’s Glade, then walk south to the beach. Alternatively, use the Skills Necklace & teleport to the Woodcutting guild and walk south-east.

-Why Sand Crabs? Sand Crabs, located on the Hosidius coast, are the go-to method for early to mid-levels. They have even higher HP than Rock Crabs and are non-aggressive, allowing for prolonged AFK training sessions.

Level 30-60: Ammonite Crabs

-Location: Fossil Island.

-How to get there: Use the Digsite pendant to teleport to Fossil Island. From there, head north-east to the beach where Ammonite Crabs are located.

-Why Ammonite Crabs? Ammonite Crabs on Fossil Island offer the best experience rates for mid-level training. They are similar to Sand Crabs but with better drops and higher HP, making them perfect for efficient leveling.

Level 60-99: Nightmare Zone (NMZ)

-Location: Near Yanille.

-How to get there: Use the minigame teleport to Nightmare Zone. Alternatively, teleport to Yanille using a house teleport if your house is there, or use the Watchtower teleport and walk south.

-Requirements for NMZ: To access NMZ, you need to have completed at least five quests.

-Why Nightmare Zone? The Nightmare Zone minigame is the ultimate training ground for high-level Melee. It provides the highest experience rates and allows for highly AFK training sessions. Use absorption potions and Dharok’s armor for maximum efficiency.

Level 1-10: Chickens and Goblins

Level 10-30: Minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security

-Location: Stronghold of Security, Barbarian Village.

-Why Giant Frogs? Giant Frogs offer good experience and drop valuable big bones. Make sure to bring a light source and antifire shield if necessary.

-Location: Varies by Slayer task.

-How to get there: Use the Slayer master teleport options or navigate to your assigned Slayer locations. Common masters include Turael in Burthorpe, Chaeldar in Zanaris, and Duradel in Shilo Village.

One of the Best AFK Fishing Methods in 2025: The Lazy King’s Guide

“Lazy King” method, one of the best AFK fishing methods in 2025- 40,000 Fishing XP/ Hour, allowing you to fish for swordfish for a whopping 30 minutes at a time without needing to bank!

Requirements

• Crystal or Dragon Harpoon
• Cannon
• Cannonballs (minimum quality is fine)
• Miscellania Teleport (through Player Owned House or Ring of Wealth)

• (Optional) Fremmenyk Boots 4 for a shortcut to the docks
• (Optional) Full inventory of Admiral’s pies for a +5 Fishing boost
• (Optional) Bonecrusher necklace and prayer gear for extended Prayer renewal

Steps:

• Set up your cannon inside the Miscellania castle room with the single woman inside. This will slowly decrease your approval rating.
• Head to the Miscellania docks and start fishing for swordfish with your harpoon.

Relax!
You can afk fish for up to 30 minutes without having to worry about banking or dropping your fish.

Note:  Your approval rating will slowly decrease while you fish. You can continue fishing until your cannon is almost depleted.

Optimizations:

• Using a Miscellania teleport through your Player Owned House or Ring of Wealth will save you time getting to the docks.
• (Optional) Wearing Fremmenyk Boots 4 can provide a small shortcut to the docks.
• Using a full inventory of Admiral’s pies will give you a +5 Fishing level boost, which can be helpful.
• Wearing a Bonecrusher necklace and using prayer gear will extend the duration of your Prayer renewal, allowing you to AFK for longer.

Things to Keep in Mind:

• You can still catch Giant Swordfish using this method, although the exact drop rate is unknown.
• You can expect to get around 40,000 Fishing XP/ Hour with this method.
• You don’t need to use the best quality cannonballs, the minimum quality will work just fine.
• While this method is AFK, it will slowly decrease your Miscellania approval rating. You may not be the most popular ruler, but at least you’ll be getting some good fishing XP!

Note: Jagex has confirmed that you cannot get a pet swordfish using this method.

OSRS Fishing XP Quests

Because fishing in Old School RuneScape is considered to be one of the slowest skills, it is highly recommended that you quest your way through the early levels. Only completing the quest for the Sea Slug, for example, will get you all the way to level 24. Below is a list of all the quests that offer experience in fishing. Consider trying to complete some of them before or during your fishing adventure.

Useful Items for Fishing

Angler’s Outfit

The Angler’s outfit is amazing; imagine an outfit you can wear that will give you an extra 2.5 per cent fishing experience forever. To get the full outfit, you’ll need to try your luck at either the minigame of Fishing Trawler, or by Ariel fishing. Now we’re not going to go into the ins and outs of the Fishing Trawler, we’re going to save that for another guide! If you have the outfit, you will have to meet the requirement of 34 fishing to wear it and enjoy its benefits. Just in case you just want to wear selected pieces, note that the hat gives an XP bonus of 0.4 per cent. The top gives an XP bonus of 0.8 per cent. The waders bring an XP bonus of 0.6 percent, and the boots carry an XP bonus of 0.2 per cent. Wearing them all adds an extra set bonus of 0.5 percent, which leads to a maximum set bonus of 2.5 percent.

General Equipment

In regard to general fishing equipment, Fishing uses two types of equipment, which are divided into consumables and equipment. Consumables are used up for each fish caught at the cost of one item and are stackable while the equipment is non-stackable and reusable. The items are: For Net Fishing, the Small fishing net, which is not consumable. For Bait Fishing, the fishing rod, and some fishing bait. For Fly Fishing, the Fly-fishing rod and some feathers to act as bait. For Harpooning, Harpoon (or bare handed if you finished the barbarian Training Miniquest, or a barb-tail harpoon), which is not consumable. For Cage Fishing, the Lobster pot, which is not consumable. For Barbarian Fishing, the Barbarian Rod, and baits like fishing baits, fish offcuts, feathers, roe or caviar. For Aerial Fishing, there’s the Cormorant and usable baits like the king worms, and fish chunks.

Rada’s Blessing

In addition, you may want to receive the blessing of the Rada from the Kourend & Kebos diary for those players who are wanting to earn some money while fishing. The easy, medium, hard, and elite dairies all offer 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% (respectively) at once to catch two fish. You’ll need to equip the blessing for it to take effect.

Levelling Fishing

In this OSRS fishing guide, we provide you with two paths that you may want to go down (or mix and match to your liking). The first is the easy route that will get you to level 99 as quickly as possible. To those of you who want to make some profits, the second route is the profitable process. Regardless of which path you choose, you’ll be doing the same methods from levels 1 to 62.

Levels 1-20 – Fishing Shrimp/Anchovies

You will be fishing shrimp to kick off the long grind of fishing in this OSRS fishing guide, from level 1 through 20. Bear in mind, though, that at level 15 you’ll start catching the more advanced relative of the shrimp–the anchovies! You’ll need a small fishing net to capture these fish, and head to a good fishing spot. Draynor Village, as seen on the map below, is our personal favorite place to fish for shrimp and anchovies. Simply head north towards the bank if you want to bank the fish. Otherwise you can stick to dropping the fish until you reach level 20. Or, the Sea Slug Quest helps you to skip straight to level 24. You will need 30 fire making to start the quest and you will need to speak to Caroline, east of Ardougne, as shown on the map below.

Levels 20-58 – Fly Fishing Trout/Salmon

At levels 20 to 58, away from shrimps and anchovies, you’ll be catching bigger types of fish: trout and salmon. Similar to how the anchovies were, at level 30 you’ll start catching salmon. You’ll need a fly-fishing rod, and feathers, to catch these fish. Travel over to any fly-fishing spot next. As seen on the map below, our personal preference is the place outside Barbarian Village. If you want to bank the fish, head east until you reach the bank of Varrock. If not, just dropping the fish and going to level 58 is also perfect!

 

Levels 58-62 – Barbarian Fishing

You will be doing Barbarian fishing from levels 58 to 62 before you go divide off into either the fast or profitable paths in this OSRS fishing guide. To fish here you will need to start the Barbarian Training fishing portion. Simply speak to Otto Godblessed at the place as indicated by the map to do so. You will also need 15 agility and 15 strength (recommended 45 agility and 45 strength when accessing higher tier fish). You’ll also experience Agility & Power as an added bonus! You’re going to need a barbarian rod (which you’ll get from Otto), and a stack of feathers, as your bait. Go to the Otto’s Grotto fishing spot to get started.

There’s a rare trick that you might have heard of in Old School RuneScape, called 3-tick manipulation. You can dramatically speed up your fishing by taking fast enough actions within a tick (0.6 seconds)..Because fishing is typically a 5-tick action, tick manipulation can result in a 3-tick action, potentially increasing your experience by 67%. If you wish to use these dramatic boosts in fishing, let’s go through 3-tick fishing!

Next, you’re going to need your barbarian rod, feathers, any herb, swamp tar, and a pestle and mortar (we’re going to describe their use later). It’s smart to have a couple of extra herbs just in case you make a mistake. Below is an example of an inventory setup. You’ll need to use your herb on your swamp tar fast for Barbarian Fishing. When you see your animation beginning to crush up your herb, click on the fishing spot quickly, then repeat the process and drop the fish as you go. It can become very click intensive – so take breaks! From there, it’s just rinse and repeat until level 62 (or if you’re taking the quick method further).

Fastest way to traing Fishing in Old School Runescape

Levels 62-99 – Barbarian Fishing

To kick off this guide’s fast section while finishing it at the same time, from level 62 all the way to fishing mastery at 99, you’re going to do barbarian fishing once again. Bear in mind that at level 70, you’ll start catching the leaping sturgeon, increasing your rates of experience. If you have forgotten how to go about barbarian fishing, just scroll up!

Profitable way to train Fishing

Levels 62-82 – Fishing Monkfish  

You want to make some money, then? To begin this guide’s profitable portion, you will be fishing monkfish from levels 62 through 82. You’ll need just a small fishing net for this process. However, if you want to fish at Piscatoris (as we suggest because of the close proximity of a bank), you’ll have to complete the quest of the Swan Song. Use a Piscatoris teleport to get to the fishing spot, and head slightly northwest to the fishing spot, as seen in the map below. From there, all you need to do is fish away, and bank slightly southeast of the river.

Levels 82-99 – Fishing Minnows

To top this OSRS Fishing Guide, you’ll be catching minnows from level 82 through to level 99. Sadly, for this one you need an Angler’s outfit so if you forgot how to get one, scroll up to this guide’s ‘useful items’ part. Get a small fishing net with your Angler’s outfit and head over to the fishing spot. At the Fishing Guild, you’ll catch minnows.

You may have found that the minnows are untradable when you’re fishing minnows. And how can you make income from it? Simply speak to Kylie Minnow, who is going to buy your minnows for raw sharks at a cost of 40 minnows per shark, to start making money. If you don’t want to get the Angler’s uniform, feel free to stick to Monkfish fishing. It’s less gold per hour and less experience per hour, but it saves you all the effort to get the Angler outfit. Keep going until level 99!

OSRS Fishing Money Making guide

There’s a some good ways to make some money while fishing – let’s go through a few!

Firstly, there’s catching Karambwans, which grants about 255k GP per hour. At level 65 Fishing, and you can start catching karambwan after completing the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio questYou’ll need a karambwan vessel and raw karambwanji to bait for karambwan fishing. Raw karambwanji can be caught northeast of the fairy ring code – ckr. The best spot to catch karambwan is a spot north of the dkp fairy ring. For this approach it is highly recommended to have a simple access to a fairy ring, like a fairy ring at your house. Players can use a dueling ring to bank the fish at Castle Wars, Edgeville using an amulet of glory, Shilo Village Underground Mine using Karamja gloves 3 or 4, or The Theatre of Blood using Drakan’s medal. Alternatively the dkp fairy ring can be used to quickly bank the fish in Zanaris without any teleportation items, requiring only a short run from the fishing spot to the bank box.

Next, there’s catching Infernal Eels, which gets about 237k GP per hour. You can start catching infernal eels at level 80 Fishing inside the city of Mor Ul Rek. To gain entry to Mor Ul Rek a fire cape has to be given to a TzHaar-Ket guard. This doesn’t take the cape away, so don’t worry about losing it. Using a hammer to remove ten to twenty Tokkul, one onyx-bolt tip, or one to five lava scale fragments, infernal eels can be smashed open. Peer eel, you should expect to make upwards of 1000 GP. Fishing infernal eels in the most city’s south-east area is suggested, as the other two areas may see their fishing spots vanish more frequently.

Also, there’s the method of catching Sacred Eels, which makes about 374k GP per hour. At level 87 Fishing and partially completing the Regicide search, players at Zul-Andra will catch sacred eels giving 105 Fishing xp per Sacred Eel. The fish can be dissected with a knife to remove Zulrah’s scales with a Cooking level of 72. Dissecting the fish will offer cooking experience of around 109-227, and 3-9 scales. The cooking level of a player determines how many scales are earned upon dissection. With a cooking level in the mid-80s, an average of around 5 scales per fish can be predicted and around 7 scales per fish are given at a cooking level of 96.After making some money, why not sell it for some real life cash? OSRS Fishing minigame – Tempoross

Temporos is a fishing counterpart of Wintertodt. To engage in this minigame you will need at least level 35 Fishing. If you’re playing with a Hardcore Ironman account, avoid death in this minigame, as you will lose your status. So how much xp can you get in Tempoross? At level 35 you should be getting about 30k xp/h and at higher levels the xp is between 60k and 90k, depending on the harpoon you use.

Drift net fishing

This is a unique method to train 2 skills at the same time – fishing and hunter. The requirements to start are low – 44 fishing and 47 hunter. You will also need to complete bone voyage quest as well as RFD (Pirate Pete) quest. This is one of the most efficient methods of training as you will save a lot of time. The xp rates are comparable to both best fishing and hunter training methods up until about level 90 in both skills. The only downside of this method is that it is click-intensive, so it may not be for you if you’d rather relax while you fish.
